While waiting on reports from my testers I thought I would use the time to start putzing around on the world level scen. In the attached screenie you can see Western Europe is pretty fucked up. :AH The Wastelands are a harsh place to try and survive in.
The next screenie will be of Southern California.

Greg, I don't think that orangy colored Pollution is good. Too bright I think it needs to go back to more brown and green goo colored. But LOVE the skulls touch though! :bs

Ken, that pollution was not intended for Fall Out..merely an example to show some changes that could be of use. That perticular Pollution is for a Much Brighter World MOD.

I'm not happy the way the interface looks ingame, especially the text ouside the screen and the missing piece of the right box (had that problem with the ST interface). You can expect a better one tonight... ;)

I agree with your comment ... it is imperative that ALL text is legible !!!

The interface is what will IMHO make or break the mod, therefore it essential for it to relay all the information.

Saying that ... I really love the new bunker look and especially the Toxic Green colour ... we are slowly getting there ... good work Mate :bs

Flamand, I had in mind a moving LH, and even have the frames, but I will be damned if I can coordinate them. I can make the frames, but can't get them to work right. So that was why I had static ones. And the Bot one is worst of all. :ad

I was more talking about the white edges around the heads, something that is easily remedied. ;) And the bot can be replaced...

Discovered something useful for the interface while experimenting. Hope to be able give a preview tonight, otherwise tomorrow...

This boys and girls, is why you DON'T want to stick your head into a radscorpion nest without LOTS of backup, you never know if a Deathclaw will show up pissed off and hungry. :bs

While watching the Enclave AI's turn in debug mode I noticed the AI send its only Early Powered Armor into this nest of Radscorpions. Now I knew what was there, so I had a good show as this PRICELESS unit, at the beginning of the mod, almost died. But the Powered Armor's disengage ability allowed it to run away just before he died and became Claw chow.

Here it is. I found that the maximal limit to the width of the left box is actually all the way up till the right box... :AH So I could do this:

As for the text: I can enlarge the green screen in the right box a little, but it can never be as much as the text requires. The standard Civ game uses short texts there on purpose... :cry I suggest shortening the names somehow and I'll make the screen in right box a bit larger...

Flamand, I like the new look. I vote we keep it that way. As for the box on the right, use your judgement my friend.

I also was agonizing over the names. I was trying to come up with some that are not so long and still give a good representation of the civ.

Text sizes are becomming a possible issue ... in many screens :sad

Utimately it will be Master Sgt. Thorgrimm's decision ... I'll come up with some options to discuss in the text section.

But labels could easily be shortened
eg
Brotherhood Council .... BOS Council.
LargeCal Ammo ... LargeCal

But!!! ... Working within limitations can really get the creative juices 'a flowin :AH

That's why when working on this amazing mod

... I ummm ... :AE

I suggest dropping the "AD", since there is no "BC". Also "gold" can be replaced by "$". That should reduce that line a bit.
BOS sounds good to me. For Star Trek I needed to change United Federation of Planets to UFoP for the same reason...
