No sliders ... or if there are, they remain devilously hidden

there are small squares one on each of the Three slots. your Top one is anout mid way ...they should appear as slightly lighter in shade. try adjusting your Brightness and contrast for your monitor because it sounds like it needs it.

just took another look at your ScreenShot..your Top slider is only 1/3rd of the distance from the left side of that slot. the squares you slide are directly on the slots

Wow Greg ... you have good eyes :bs

I had to stuff around with contrast and brightness to glimpse it.

I think that the sliders are too dark ... or the sliding area is too dark.

What about making it Fallout Red Green ??

No worries, mate! I'll brighten it a bit for you... :w Or send you a new pair of glasses... :bs

Werner, Greg is correct. I have no problems seeing them at all. :bs And I do like the colors, so for now, they will remain as is. :bs

Turn - 2134

I have scouted around New Reno and it is indeed a perilous environment, I have purposely left many Radscorp nests undisturbed

I fear I may have crippled the Mob ... as they are still only a 1 city civ ... well I guess crime doesn't pay :gl

Also I am forced to play the game more cautiously in this version.

Well done ... I really like the improvement

Have to wait and see if the AI feels the same way :w

Date - 2136 AD

Met the Entity, they have Vault 15 and Military Base ... so they are settling
I have 5 cities + Platform.

met Vaulters who have Vault 8 and vault 13.

Werner, it is the UNITY. :w :bs

Yeah the AI has been slowed down big time in their expansion. BUT if you play on the default level of emperor, it will be harder for you to. :w

damn I've got to check myself with that ... dyslexic I believe is the word i'm looking for :AE

I am playing at default ... tough tough ... wonderfully tough :ad

I've even had worker run to hide behind city walls and also marked time with settlers before coast was claer to get out into the wilds :gl

Glad you are enjoying it. And one hint, the more radscorp nests you clean out, the less painfull those barb uprisings with the deathclaws will be. I just got slammed with 45 Deathclaws! Killed 4 combat armor miniguns before gutting my treasury and city. :ad :bs

One thing I've noticed that only benefits come from those that brave to pop a goody hut ... I've never had critters as an option?

Have you turned that option off ... or have I just been very very very lucky :AH

Author:  Flamand [ 21 Apr 2006 07:50 ]
Post subject:

You were lucky... I usually get goodies or scorpions... :)

Enclave - 2183 AD

Met BOS and they too only have 1 city and all workers inside ... perhaps there are too many radscorps around New Reno and BOS .

Also I have been popping goody huts like mad ... have canines and the 3 tough units out exploring and popping .... I have yet to get critters unleashed.

Popping Huts gave me a very big tech advantage.

I have traded Currency and Genetics for BOS world Map, 5 workers and thier 922 Bank :AH

Also found out they have Lost Hills as other city

Werner, the Enclave has expansionist as one of its civ traits. So it only gets positive things from goody huts, nothing bad. But using those things gotten from the huts is another thing. Remember with all those units you are going to rapidly drain your treasury. :bs

To all, I apologise for my absence, My brother Jeff came back from work in Kentucky and announced we were going camping. And he would NOT take no for an answer. :bs And truth be told, I needed to get back to the wild for a bit. I am happy to announce Lil Bud baited his first hook during the outing! :bs The boy will be 5 on April 30th! So his old man is quite proud of the boy. :bs

First Fishing ... fantastic :AH

2206 AD ... default difficulty

Although my economy is nagative ... I must admit it is not scary.

Income 434 gold
Exenses 481 gold
My Bank Account ... 531 gold with -47 Net Loss
Applied Physics in 2 turns @ 10% Science.

If I need cash I will trade Tech to the others or a Map or a Lux.

I have 19 cities ... most in the world :bs

62 Units while only 20 are allowed ... which costs 126 gold per turn

3 Settlers
22 Workers
5 Deathclaws
1 Early power Armour
1 Tanker
15 Rifle Infantry
1 Popup Turret
3 Scout Dogs
11 leather Armour

Maybe look at reducing the amount of cash at beginning.

EDIT ... I admit that I now feel comfortable at 10% Science ... but early on I was 50%-60% ... all I'm saying in early game I am not sweating ... now I am even WEALTHing cities.

Well, the 2000 gold is more for the ai's to keep them in the black till they begin to expand, which usually takes about 100 turns now.

I originally only gave 1000, but the AI's were even worse off as they kept disbanding their turrets and all their mil units.

Also the techs need to be tweaked in the second, third, and foruth eras. and then when we add more even more tweaking in costs. :ad

I am sorry to report that Vuldacon and I have had a difference of opinion over the new city screen. And after two hours of telling him nothing was going to change and him not dropping the subject when I asked him to, we have parted ways.

So he is no longer a member of the team. If anybody else wishes to resign due to this, you may do so with no dishonor.

Flamand, I am sorry about that. I went to Iowa to celebrate my son's fifth birthday. Sorry I forgot to mention it here in the mod section. :AE

But I thought for sure, BOS would have covered my back and let you all know I was gone for a few days. :w I guess I will have to remove a stripe or two. :bs

Feel free to send what you have my friend.

Cheers, Thor
