Thought I's start this so all Unit issues can get discussed in one place.

I have DLed some Theremin sounds ... what format is better .wav or .mp3

I have doubles on some of them.

Posted a selection of Theremin sounds to Greg ... for the Crawling Brain, I also suggested a movement sound could be a wet slippery slug sort of slithering sound.

Also e-mailed this to Ken ... who suggested to post it here ... ummm ... so I will :bl

Werner, I like the idea of the Bond with an smg, the babe with the chainsaw and the mutie dog. Like em a lot. :bs

We can use the Bond as one of the UU's for the families, The Made Man.

And yeah we sure can use a leather clad babe with a chainsaw. :ad

And the muties need their own style of nuke pooch. :bs

just wondering if armies are going to be used ... and I've commented already that I don't think an army should be an option for a goody pop.

Anyway it would be better to have a generic army graphic that would fit more with the game.

Generic as Bots (and new Creature civ idea) would also be using it.

Werner, actually I wanted each civ to have their own unique armies that were able to be built when they built their civ's equivalent of the Pentagon Small Wonder.

I think army graphics would work for the spawning effect ... however I believe that those that are created in the field end up being the default ... and unfortunately that default is used by all :sad

Well, In the editor I can disable the base armies from appearing, and the only armies that would ever appear are the ones that are built, is that what you wish to happen?

Not sure ... I like the in game excitement when a leader is formed in battle.

But when the Leader is converted to an army in the field, is it possible for different army graphics to be used?

If so, then that would be cool ... else you'd get different army icons running around which just looks wrong.

Primarily my comment was about getting an Army from the goody hut ... not sure I like that :fr

However others may have differing opinions. :AH

Werner, no if converted, only the base gfx is used. Only built armies can be different from each other.

And we can't do anything about armies popping out of the goody huts. :bs

Greg, thanks bud, but we already have a Ghoul Melee unit. :bs


As for the unit matrix I sent you, all you have to do is cross reference the weapon down the side with the armor type up topside and you will see 95% of the units are on that txt file. :bs

So as this example shows we have the Unit Combat Armor Rifle. :bs

I would think that if you plan to replace a Barbarian unit , that should be dona now...such as the Squid.
...Not sure where you are placing Skeech...

By The Way, I managed to upload the Extra Unit files for you, so you should be receuving Five E-Mails with Links to them. Let me know if you get them ok...the Files will be there for Seven Days.

As for the skreech he will find a comfy home in the critters civ.

Yes it does, and I have the model, but no takers on making it yet.

In fact I have models of all those critters but the Brahmin that need done, including all three flavors of Gecko.

well, that format will not work in Poser but I can view them. send the "Alien" looking unit ..the Wannamingo if you have it.
