I Must say it is the best Batman ever and I will tell you why. :w

I was glad to see they finally returned to the comic with the death of Bruce's parents, as I had always disliked the way they tied Joker to the death of the Wayne's. The way they highlighted how young Bruce was traumatised by his encounter with the bats was outstanding, and you could see why he chose the bat to be his alter ego to instil fear into the hearts of the wicked.

I thought Liam Neeson's portrayal of Ras-Al-Gul was spot on, he correctly protrayed a man, who is immortal btw, who thinks he is doing good and the end justifies the means. All the while actually doing evil by destroying innocents along with the guilty.

The actor who they chose to play the Scarecrow, looked like it was the perfect role for him. :as As he was scary to my rugrats without the mask on. :w

I am also pleased to see Gary Oldman finally get a good guy role, playing Gordon, as it seems hollywood has typecast him as a bad guy.

The plot was straight out of the Batman comics of my youth, long long ago, and I was extremely pleased they kept it mostly intact. Hell I even liked the new Batmobile, as it had a rugged, lets get the job done and screw the looks, appeal to me.

Well those are my reflections on a movie that I would recommend for all fans of Batman to see.

I give it two assault rifles up. :r

By attempting to destroy the morale of the Marines, the Darkman had restored it to full vigor. Dia De La Muerto had failed in its objectives."

Ditto. The cast was outstanding; I've been a big Cillian Murphy fan ever since 28 Days Later, and I've always liked Christian Bale (you couldn't have picked a better Dark Knight than the American Psycho), and then you have a supporting cast of nearly all Oscar winners to really round the film's acting talent. The martial arts in the film was slick and unhampered as opposed to the previous four Batman movies, and I appreciated the detail they put into Batman's training. Gotham was breathtakingly done, coming off as almost a living entity the likes of which I haven't seen since Romeo and Juliet. All in all, not only is this the best Batman movie ever, but it's also a heavy contender for the best superhero movie of all time, even clashing with mighty contenders like The Crow, X-2, and Spiderman 2.
